Daybreak in Mississippi - Presentation Review 1/17/2012

Juanita,

I just love you! You are beautiful inside and out, and I thank God for you. Your presentation was excellent, and it was pure joy hearing your life story. I could identify with so many things you said today. I, too, am from a large family and I remember working in that large garden, and I hated. I remember my parents talking about the tornado. My uncle was killed in that very same tornado. You were right on key when you talked about the role of work when we were young, and how it made us who we are today. I could go on and on but let me close by telling you that you are indeed at the top of your game.

Muh's Review

This book is by turns poignant, funny and informative. It follows Mrs. Walker's family through childhood in rural Mississippi to adulthood, school, college and marriage. As time passes, the children become increasingly aware that their beloved mother, "Muh" is beginning to act irrationally. The family joins together to be a support system as Muh goes deeper and deeper into Alzheimer's. Reading this book gave me an insight into a disease I knew nothing about, and it showed me how a family can and does deal with the heartache and pain it brings. Mary Jo, Mississippi

Book Review

I was never a fan of Michael Jackson; however, over the years, the publicity from the media painted many different pictures of his life. After his death, I purchased and read, Blueprints of Sir Michael. I was simply amazed at how the author, who is from the "Hoosier State," revealed truths that had not been distorted by the media. This book is a "must read" if you are interested in knowing the truth about Michael's life and career. You will also find that Moffett Walker, the author, did an extraordinary job of researching and documenting her findings. This is the key factor that separates this book from most of the other published works on Michael's life and career. HP Cooper
